table tennisBased in Hook Heath, Woking Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club has an active table tennis section which is keen to welcome new Members of all abilities.

Our table tennis players represent the Club in the Guildford Table Tennis league and team Members are keen to provide practice, coaching and a general sociable welcome for anyone, of any age, interested in joining the section.

The table tennis facility in the Newman Room is there for all Members of Woking LTCC.

Between September and the end of April there are league matches played on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7pm onwards and during the summer months those evenings become Club nights when many of us meet up for "social" table tennis or to test our skills against other Club Members.

We have 6 teams in the Guildford and District League. One in the Premier Division, two in Division 2, one in Division 3 and two in Division 4.

Our players put themselves on to an email distribution list, which all of us maintain. The system we operate is that if anyone fancies a game they send an e-mail "To All" declaring their intention to which others "Reply All". The Club diary which is called CALENDAR on the Club website, and is maintained by the Club Secretary, confirms the room's availability on that particular date.

The section hosts an annual, early summer Championship for Members in which everyone from the Club as a whole from age 11-101, is welcome to enter. This encourages interactions with the other sections of the Club.

Our clubhouse was fully refurbished in 2012 and provides a fully stocked bar, catering facilities, a comfortable lounge with wi-fi, spacious changing rooms and outside, an attractive terrace adjacent to the grass courts and croquet lawns.

With a wooden floor, excellent lighting and ample space, the Club has two tables available for practice; one for casual play and training and one for experienced players and competition use. Bats are for sale behind the bar.
