Home success for Richard Blythen in the Spring Advanced Handicap Croquet Tournament .

After a lovely 2 days of weather , home players came 1st and 2nd out of a diverse handicap range -0.5 to 24.

Our Richard Blythen started the tournament as a 11 and was encouraged to take part to make an even number of entrants.

He surprised himself as someone not used to entering tournaments and managed to win every game he played to take home the trophy.

In a very close 2nd place with 4 players on three out of 5 wins our recent author Colin Groves got 2nd place by quality of wins.

In addition to winning, Richard also had his handicap reduced from 11 to 8 in recognition of his success and to reflect on his improving play since his last competitive play.

The non Woking players enjoyed their time and all intend to return next year.

The Woking Super B Level Croquet Tournament was one by Neil Coote against Guy Hewitt in an exciting final that could have gone either way.

We had fewer home player due to recent injury or illness.
