Sports Club of The Year Award 2009

Woking Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club were awarded Sports Club of the Year for 2009 by Sports Woking Awards.

The presention took place on 27th July 2009 at Woking Football Club

where Jeff Dawson our President received the award on behalf of the Club.

We provide a complete sporting and social facility amongst the beautiful surroundings of Hook Heath, Woking. With the Clubhouse at its centre, not only is tennis amply provided for, but also croquet, bowls, table tennis, chess and bridge. The many and lively additional associated social events all contribute to your well rounded family sports and leisure centre.

All levels and standards in each sport are wholly catered for, from juniors and beginners through to, in many cases, Club, County and National players.

In most sports you have full access to all the tuition, training and coaching you might require, whether your interest is simply in friendly participation, or in Club Team playing.

The Club is private, non-profit making, and fully owned by its members. Thus membership costs are eminently reasonable and all your family can thoroughly enjoy the Club's sporting and leisure activities.

Tennis Clubmark Accreditation Oct 2008

Woking Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club has been awarded official Tennis Clubmark accreditation. In doing so it joins just a small number of Clubs nationally to have received the accolade which recognises all round excellence at the Club.

Since September, the coaching structure at the Club has undergone a dramatic re-modelling which has enabled us to vastly improve the quality of coaching on offer and has ensured that we now meet the high standards required for Clubmark accreditation. Achieving Tennis Clubmark means the LTA fully endorses and supports the range of tennis programmes Woking LTC is currently delivering on court. Furthermore, it recognises the policies and procedures the Club has in place off court which ensure the effective management of the Club and its provision of a safe environment for adults and juniors in which to enjoy and play tennis.

The Clubhouse

All facilities are available, including changing rooms, two club rooms, bar, bridge room and table tennis room. The Clubhouse is also the welcoming venue for the many additional social events enjoyed by all club members
